Monkland / Walkley / St. Andrew Mill
The Fergus and Monkland Mills was established in 1856. It has gone under several names including Walkley Mills and the buildings have served a variety of functions. In 2002/2003 it was converted into condos under the name St. Andrew Mill.
This site will provide a photographic history of some of the old buildings which are still in use.
Pages include comparative old and recent photos of some of the buildings on Fergus' main street, as well as the photographic history of the Templin Carriage Works -- one of the older buildings in town which has evolved as conditions have changed.
This GRI-section of the site also had a page of links to other web sites on Fergus. We decided to keep it. For a more in-depth overview of Centre Wellington businesses please viist our business directory.
We also created a picture gallery of all the photos in this GRI-section.

When John Gordon moved away from our area in 2009 he asked us to take care of his pages about his beloved Fergus, Ontario.
