The Fergus Carnegie Library was built 100 years ago in 1910. To help celebrate this momentous occasion, the Fergus branch of the Wellington County Library is part of Doors Open Ontario in Centre Wellington on Saturday June 26, 2010.
Drop in between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to see historical displays, a Decades of Bestselling Books display and a slide display of the last 100 years.
At 2 p.m., catch “Carnegie Capers”, a play that tells the real story behind Andrew Carnegie’s donation of the present library building.
