Robert Burns Day Today

On this day back in 1759 Robert Burns was born. He was also known as:

  • Rabbie Burns
  • Scotland’s favourite son
  • the Ploughman Poet
  • Robden of Solway Firth
  • the Bard of Ayrshire
  • The Bard

He is proudly seen as the National poet of Scotland and every year people all around the world remember and celebrate his life and accomplishments with a special dinner: Robbie Burns Night.
