This YouTube video is a storm trackers report of a major storm that hit our region. Strong winds, hard downpours. Yes, Fergus is considered to be in tornado alley… (although this video is not of the tornado that hit Fergus in 2005).
Video shot 15 kms nw of Guelph Ontario with damage shots taken around Fergus, Ontario.
Awesome video. I love straight-line winds. Also love seeing the weather outside of the United States. 5 Stars
great video , wild core. I stayed on the southern tip of this monster . The core went by to my north, how big was the hail btw ?
did a tornado happen or what cause i dident finish watching it
max nickle to quarter. Nothing really that big but cooler ice at least
nope. just intense straightline winds.
Cool vid – quick note.
When you approach a flashing yellow / flashing red, or completely disabled traffic light, you treat it as a 4 way stop.
You didn’t during your drive in this video – I hope you don’t make a habit of running lights.
Actually I did not run a light. Law in ontario states “A flashing yellow light means you should drive with caution when approaching and moving through the intersection” It does not mean it is a 4 way stop. If it was flashing red I have to stop. Not sure where you reside but obviously the laws are different there.
we just had a storm yesterday that hed straight line winds and i put a vid of the damage
I have been in MANY violent storms. The winds can be far more intense than some tornadoes.
Great footage. I was in one here in Memphis a couple days back and it is so scarey and leaves extreme damage.
wow
great video
GREAT footage! We had the effects of it here in Kitchener also. The rooftop of the community center across the street flew off and hit our car in the parking lot. I was standing at the balcony door with my daughter when the storm first happened and I got freaked out that I opened all the windows and ran to the bathroom, lol
i was out side whan that hapend i was i n guelph
Hahahahahahahaha
I was heading home from Sarnia when this happened, we had to take another route because a tree was knocked in front of the road. It’s amazing what nature can do
i live in guelph 39 dawson unit a4 i was playing with my frineds and it got windy than rain than storm i was outside im 10
I remember this storm… it was first one of the year for 2009, and it was a doozy! I was coming down Guelph Line between Guelph and Rockwood when it came down quick and nasty! Great video!!!
God I love storms. I’ve never been in the middle of one like this. One day I wish to live in an area with tremendous thunder storms, and get that rush.
Im from guelph too, and i hope we get one like this this year, but it needs super intense lightning like this too lol. that lightning bolt at 2:48 was nuts!
