Fergus Stone Heritage Houses

Fergus is very well known for its wide variety of older houses, from the late 1800's. Come and talk a walk through Fergus, formerly known as "Little Falls". More on Fergus' old and 21st century real estate.

Fergus Market - Fergus Marketplace

Upcoming EventsLocated on the banks of the beautiful Grand River, a Canadian Heritage River, this market is still must for shoppers and culture lovers alike. Even though it is no longer a market, the completely renovated building still boasts a number of quality merchants, restaurants and more.

The marketplace is housed in one of the most architecturally significant buildings in Fergus, Ontario: the historic Beatty Brothers Farm Implement Manufacturing building, that was built in the early 1870's. At the back you can see the Grand River making its way through Downtown Fergus.

This Grand Theater is located downtown Fergus, on St. Andrew Street. It is a 300-capacity concert hall, and has frequent musical and theatrical productions.

Elora Cataract Trailway

The Cataract Trail is a 47 kilometre stretch of trailway. It leads from Elora, through Fergus, Belwood, Orton, Hillsburgh, Erin, and Belfountain to Cataract. The Elora Cataract Trailway is owned by the Credit Valley and Grand River Conservation Authorities and is managed by them in cooperation with the Elora Cataract Trailway Association.

Lion's Club Home Show (May)

The Fergus Lions Club Home & Garden Show has been a highly successful yearly event since 1979. Admission is free (a donation is welcome). More than 4500 people visit the Fergus Community Centre during this trade show, which boasts over 140 booths.

Fergus Truck Show (July)

North America's Largest "Show & Shine" Truck Show. The Fergus Truck Show was voted as one of the Top 50 Events in Ontario in 2003.

Fergus Highland Games and Scottish Festival (August)

The largest Scottish Festival and Highland Games outside of Scotland! Listen to the bagpipes, or watch traditional Scottish dancing, and athletes in kilts competing in the traditional caber toss, hammer throw and tug-of-war.

Antique & Classic Car Show (August)

This popular event on the lawn in front of the Wellington County Museum is on the last Sunday of August. Antique and Classic cars are exhibited and admired. Fall Fair (September) The Fergus Fall Fair will have its 167th edition in September 2004, at the Fergus & District Community Centre.
